After some suffering, gnashing of teeth, and tearing of hair, Pie Palace is back. I won’t bore you with the details, but suffice to say:

  • disktype is a useful tool for locating partitions on refugee disks.
  • DreamHost setup is remarkably easy, and provides a nice comfy linux shell to log into. I’ll probably find something to complain about soon, but until then, I’m happy.
  • WordPress is good software, but it embeds the URL of the site its running on all over it’s DB; which means that migrating from host to host is kinda painful. But since the rest of the install process is pretty clean, I’ll let it go.
