Denial of Service
It looks like Progressive Bloggers has implemented a scheme allowing for people to “vote” a blog posting to the ProgressiveBlogger front page. They’re going so far as to provide an API to allow a site owner to allow vote remotely.
How is the system secured to prevent multiple votes? With the following text:
Please do not abuse this feature by using bots or other automated methods of ballot stuffing. Users must physically click on the voting link by their own volition. Any blogs found abusing this feature will be removed from Progressive Bloggers.
Of course, one coule force a blog to be removed from ProgressiveBloggers, by writing a script to repeatedly vote for every one of that blog’s articles. Then again, there doesn’t seem to be much of an incentive to do that.

Not true.
There are several mechanisms in place now that prevent abuse… I’m not going to openly state what those would be.. but I assure you our administrator would be able to detect stuff like this and stop it rather quickly.
